  1. 'Late Night Shopping', with its eerie, childlike handclaps and sinister vocal from Sylvian, makes an everyday activity seem nightmarishly malign. Yet the best is last: the one true flicker of warmth in the album comes in the final track, in which Sylvian reverts to memories of his childhood in an attempt to escape the turmoil of his surroundings.

  4. Apr 28,  · I am not sure I like everything in this album, but there is undoubtedly some excellent David Sylvian here. 'Blemish' is an incredible ambient experience, the careful listener will recognize some Brian Eno influence here, and some Robert Fripp influence on 'The Only Daughter', which definitely is my favourite track on this album, for it sounds just like a 'Secrets from the Beehive' song/5().
